BIM​/CAD Specialist - Master Planning; UAE National

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM/ CAD Specialist to join our team. In this role you will get to work on marquee urban development projects and create master plans that will change the fabric of our cities. The CAD/BIM Specialist serves as a resource to the design staff when it comes to the learning and support of design technologies required to support the firm’s growth for all design disciplines, specifically AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microstation, Sketchup, Revit and other CAD/ BIM applications.

• Provide front line project specific support to design teams.
• Prepare urban planning packages consisting of layouts, DCRs, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general urban planning and design information according to established standards and procedures.
• Authoring and ownership of BIM model.
• Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
• Become familiar with various standards and codes such as ISO 19650, BS 1192.
• Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
• Develop and maintain CAD/ BIM libraries, continually advancing the platforms’ efficiency and utilization.
• Assist with CAD/ BIM standards and the implementation throughout the firm.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Computer skills and the ability to utilize design software are mandatory.
• Experience with CAD/ BIM instruction and training.
• In-depth working knowledge of current software such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microstation, Sketchup and Revit with proficiency in CAD/ BIM processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with different personality types.
• Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with good capability in oral and written communication skills.

• Bachelors degree in urban planning /design or architecture.
• Professional certifications in Autodesk/ Bentley/ ESRI Products.
• Professional BIM/ ISO certifications.
