Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented ITS Systems Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will contribute to the design, integration, and deployment of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), focusing on advanced traffic management solutions, system interoperability, and emerging technologies to enhance urban mobility and safety in large-scale projects.

• Develop and supervise the creation of ITS engineering products, ensuring they meet customer quality requirements and integrate with existing infrastructure.
• Design network and infrastructure for ITS systems and equipment, including for roads, tunnels, and bridges.
• Collaborate on the development of advanced traffic management systems, including traffic signals, CCTV, security systems, and SCADA integration.
• Research and incorporate emerging technologies such as Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV), data hubs, and real‑time analytics to optimize traffic flow and safety.
• Participate in project planning, including defining scopes, schedules, deliverables, and specific client requirements for ITS implementations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, promote technical excellence, and contribute to quality improvement processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including traffic engineers, software developers, and stakeholders, to deliver integrated ITS solutions.
• Stay abreast of technological developments in ITS and traffic management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in ITS, with expertise in advanced traffic management systems and knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g., CAV, AI‑driven analytics, IoT integration).
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and networking certifications like CCNA/CCNP.
• Experience in systems engineering, integration, big data analysis, or traffic software development.
• Strong understanding of ITS operations, traffic management principles, and interoperability standards (e.g., NTCIP).
• Proven ability to manage projects on schedule and within budget, with effective communication and problem‑solving skills.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification.
• Experience with SCADA systems, Integrated Corridor Management Systems (ICMS), and real‑time data processing.
