Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Engineer - Wet Utilities to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design and construction of wet utility networks, including sewer networks, potable water networks, stormwater networks, and irrigation networks. This role requires a proactive professional who can effectively manage technical challenges, ensure compliance with project specifications, and provide solutions to both designers and contractors.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
Design and Construction Oversight:
Review and approve shop drawings for sewer, potable water, stormwater, and irrigation networks.
Ensure designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations.
Technical Issue Resolution:
Identify and resolve technical issues related to the construction of wet utility networks.
Collaborate with designers and contractors to provide effective solutions to challenges encountered during construction.
Contractor Support:
Respond to technical queries (RFIs) submitted by contractors regarding site conditions and construction activities.
Provide clear and actionable guidance to contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct inspections and ensure construction activities align with approved designs and specifications.
Monitor the implementation of wet utility systems to ensure functionality and durability.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or construction-related field
Min 10 years of experience in the design and construction of sewer networks, potable water networks, stormwater networks, and irrigation networks.
Familiarity with reviewing and approving shop drawings and technical documentation.
Strong knowledge of wet utility systems, construction methodologies, and industry standards.
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with designers, contractors, and stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
