Full-time Opportunity in our sleep lab, Monday-Wednesday 7p-7a

Summary:

Obtains sleep study data (polysomnography) on patients experiencing symptoms of sleep disorders. Applies specialized knowledge derived from biological, physical, and behavioral sciences in testing, scoring, care and treatment, diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching of persons experiencing sleep disorders. This is accomplished by executing the prescribed medical regimen of a physician in accordance with the policies and philosophy of Labette Health. Provides pulmonary services to patients as ordered by physicians, according to established standards, practices, and protocols.

• Successful completion of an accredited educational program in polysomnography and certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technician; or a Registered/Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or Respiratory Therapy required.
• Board certified or registered polysomnographic technologist recognized by the AASM, or currently enrolled in / willing to complete the A-STEP program.
• Current BCLS is required.
• Successfully passed the National Board of Respiratory Care examination for the Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Licensed with the State of Kansas as a Respiratory Care Therapist.
