GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Clinic Manager is responsible for the operational performance of the OB/GYN Clinic, the Pediatric Clinic, and the Outpatient Clinics Float Pool and monitors the activities of all office operations components to ensure the clinic meets its objectives. Advises and seeks consent from the organization’s leadership team to coordinate and manage activities within the clinic or department.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Maintain effective communication with staff, providers, and patients.
2.
Act as a liaison between BMC leadership and clinic providers.
3.
Partner with Section Chiefs on performance and talent management.  4.
Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and staff orientation for assigned clinics.  5.
Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations issues and take appropriate action when necessary.  6.
Conduct regular meetings with providers and staff.  7.
Foster a culture of innovation, learning, teamwork, and professionalism.  8.
Manage clinic financial operations including payroll, accounts payable, and receivable in a timely manner.  9.
Participate in budget preparation and manage clinic financial performance.
10.
Ensure EHR work lists are managed daily.  11.
Maintain oversight over daily operations. Resolve routine operational issues.  12.
Lead process improvement within assigned clinics and participate fully in BMC process improvement initiatives.  13.
Implement appropriate staffing models and ensure proper training and supervision.
14.
Ensure appropriate scheduling practices.
15.
Ensure compliance with all relevant BMC policies.  16.
Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA.  17.
Ensure consistent attendance and adherence to personnel policies.  18.
Maintain secure environments for protected health information.  19.
Ensure clinic operations support the BMC Strategic Plan (roadmap).
20.
Communicate organizational initiatives to clinic providers and staff.
21.
Support operational effectiveness and customer service excellence.  22.
Champion and demonstrate the BMC Values  23.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.
BSN or bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or management field  2.
Minimum of 5 years leadership experience  3.
At least 4 years of clinic or healthcare management experience  4.

Experience with accounts receivable, billing, ICD, and CPT coding  5.
Current RN license recognized by the State of Iowa Board of Nursing  6.
Demonstrated leadership abilities  7.
Certification in BLSPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1.
Master’s degree in a healthcare or management field.
2.
Experience in personnel, budgeting, and computer systems
