Ultrasound Technologist - No Call or Weekends

All About Ultrasound is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist who is new graduate-friendly, eligible for a sign‑on bonus or tuition assistance, works full‑time, and has no call or weekend shifts.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor and the clinical direction of the radiologist and/or cardiologist, the technologist independently performs ultrasound examinations using specialized equipment; performs selected invasive patient procedures; reviews studies for overall quality; uses professional judgment and critical thinking to prepare technical impressions on studies submitted to radiologist/cardiologist for interpretation; and performs record keeping and computerized image archiving.

Responsibilities
  • Collect relevant patient information (identification, procedure appropriateness, pregnancy status, preparation, contraindications and safety screenings).
  • Analyze information to safely and accurately provide care according to established policies, protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide patient education, explain procedures and give instructions at an understandable level.
  • Answer patient questions and concerns, verify informed consent when indicated.
  • Refer questions about outcomes, diagnosis, treatment or prognosis to the patient’s physician.
  • Provide appropriate information to individuals involved in the patient’s care.
  • Perform exam accurately following policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate the patient study timely, accurately and comprehensively to determine if the intended outcome was achieved.
  • Document all required components of patient care.
  • Accurately perform quality control procedures to maintain regulatory standards and accrediting requirements.
  • Adhere to equipment safety standards and report variances and concerns.
Qualifications
  • Graduated from an accredited Radiological Technologist Program and hold a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certificate with a specialty in abdomen or OB/GYN; a registered vascular technologist (RVT) is preferred.
  • A registered ARRT (R) (S) and registered vascular technologist (RVT) is also acceptable.
  • BLS certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
