Join the Care Team at Labette Health: an award-winning, not‑for‑profit hospital, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Med‑Surg floor, day shift.
Position SummaryAs a CNA on our Med‑Surg floor, you will support nursing staff by assisting with basic patient care needs and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility)
- Take and record vital signs and input/output measurements
- Provide support during patient transfers and ambulation
- Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean and properly maintained
- Offer compassionate, respectful care to patients and families
- Current Kansas CNA certification preferred, not required
- BLS certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Previous hospital or Med‑Surg experience preferred, not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, caring, and detail‑oriented
