Inspection of manufactured products and raw materials to ensure compliance with engineering / customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESExamines factory orders /blueprints... Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications. Stamps approval or rejection marks and reports rejections. Verifies layouts, materials, weld quality, paint quality, dimensions, appearance, identification markings, and records defects/rejections. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES LThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
QUALIFICATIONSMust be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate percentages, area, circumference, volume and apply basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSNone required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSOccasional travel requested (less than 10%).

Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends as required by union contract. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
