Guest Relations Manager

Full Time - Store Mid-Level

Reports Directly To:
Store Director, Assistant Store Director, Grocery Manager

Overview

In this friendly, flexible team environment, you will play an important role in helping us to provide outstanding service in a clean and friendly atmosphere. Your role as a leader in the store will be to empower associates and solve problems through critical thinking.

Additional requirements are to hire and train non-management associates per the store director's approval and to monitor and assist with front end operations.

Daily Operations
  • Providing exceptional service to all clientele.
  • Hiring new team members for all non-management positions within the store, with the advice and consent of the Store Director.
  • Training new team members properly and thoroughly to ensure exceptional service, answering all their questions while encouraging them.
  • Writing the schedule for the Guest Relations Associates.
  • Evaluating new team members during the probationary period on their customer service abilities.
  • Monitor and assist cashiers on all functions relating to the operation of the cash registers and proper cash handling techniques.
  • Assisting other departments as needed or learning other departments as needed.
  • Evaluating that carry-outs offer and provide quick, efficient carry out service or parcel pick-up service to all customers.
  • Watching the Front End to ensure that all Front-End associates are focusing on the customer.
Company Standards
  • Learn to perform all functions of Customer Service Desk. These include but are not limited to Video Rentals, Lottery/Lotto ticket sales and redemption, Money Orders, Western Union, Hunting/Fishing License sales and Check Cashing.
  • Developing knowledge of, and the ability to assist with, office and bookkeeping functions at store level.
  • Complying with all company policies including following dress code and wearing name tag.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 50 lb. boxes on occasion and/or exert 25-50 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10-20 lbs. of force constantly while moving and handling materials and products.
  • Must have dexterous use of both hands.
  • Must be able to stand and move about to various workstations.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items so that objects move toward areas of use.
  • Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments utilized in the preparations of food items and/or removing products from boxes.
  • This is medium work requiring good, corrected vision, hearing, lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling, and the ability to work on floors that sometimes become slippery.
