Security Guard - PRN

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a part‑time Security Guard to protect our munitions plants and ensure a safe work environment for our employees.

The position offers $21.01 per hour and involves 12‑hour shifts as needed. Candidates must be able to perform the required physical tasks and meet security knowledge standards.

• Conduct area patrols of required areas/buildings.
• Investigate and report all incidents.
• Follow all regulations pertaining to security operations.
• Ensure operations comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain a safe work environment.

• Exercise initiative, independent judgement, and discretion.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test (as required).
• Approach others in a tactful manner and react well under pressure.
• Apply security rules and regulations correctly.
• Strong communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of prior security experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Visual acuity for analyzing data, transcribing documents, viewing a computer, reading, inspecting objects, or operating machinery.
• Balancing, staying upright during walking, climbing, crouching, etc.
• Stooping (bending the spine at the waist).
• Reaching (arms or legs in any direction).
• Lifting or moving objects >15 pounds.
• Walking, pushing or pulling.
• Manual dexterity, grasping, and climbing.
• Hearing, talking, and speaking clearly.
• Capacity to think, concentrate, and focus for long periods.
• Capacity to reason and make sound decisions.
• Capacity to express thoughts orally.
• Ability to withstand environmental conditions (extreme heat or cold, wind, sand, fumes, extreme noise).
