Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in Pasadena, California. This role focuses on maintaining accurate records, handling invoice activity, and assisting with both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, comfort with accounting software, and the ability to manage high-volume data entry with consistency and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and ensure payments are recorded accurately and on schedule.

- Prepare and post customer billing information while monitoring incoming payments and resolving routine account discrepancies.

- Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy to maintain reliable records and reporting.

- Use Quick Books and related tools to update account activity, reconcile entries, and support daily bookkeeping tasks.

- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to identify missing information, errors, or overdue items.

- Maintain organized financial files and documentation so records are accessible for internal review and audit support.

- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal team members to clarify billing details and payment status.

- Assist with invoice processing workflows and contribute to smooth month-end accounting activities. Requirements - Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in an accounting or clerical role.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and confidence working within computerized accounting systems.

- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.

- Hands-on experience processing invoices and maintaining organized financial documentation.

- Ability to reconcile routine transactions and identify inconsistencies in financial records.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors, customers, and colleagues.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a Contract assignment.
