Commercial Title Assistant

Job Description

• Perform clerical tasks to support timely escrow closings and title recordings.
• Open new orders.
• Create closing checklists.
• Track file and orders, updating title searches and reviewing completed searches for new items.
• Investigate and interpret tax records.
• Handle and review original documents for recording.
• Assemble and distribute final forms of documents in preparation for closing.
• Submit documents for recording, managing any rejections to ensure timely recording.
• Upload recorded documents and recording fees.
• Create final title policies.
• Distribute recorded originals to customers and upload all critical documents to close out the file.
• Provide customer service to customers and field escrow offices.
• Interpret and act on instructions from customers and title officers.

• 4+ years of title industry experience; commercial title experience is a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Strong detail orientation.
• Leadership skills.
