Position: Commercial Title Assistant
Contract Assignment: ASAP Start (Potential Extension Temp to Perm)
Location: Pasadena, CA
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Business Shift
Pay Range: $23.00 - $24.86/HR, Paid Weekly
Position SummaryThe Escrow & Title Clerk provides critical administrative and clerical support to ensure accurate and timely escrow closings and title recordings. This role manages the preparation, review, and distribution of all documents related to closings, while delivering exceptional customer service to clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Open new escrow and title orders and create detailed closing checklists.
- Track files, monitor updates, and review completed title searches for new items.
- Investigate and interpret tax records and other relevant documentation.
- Handle, review, and assemble original documents in preparation for recording.
- Submit documents for recording, manage any rejections, and ensure timely processing.
- Upload recorded documents and associated fees, and create final title policies.
- Distribute recorded originals to customers and upload critical documents to close out files.
- Provide support and customer service to clients and field escrow offices.
- Interpret and act on instructions from customers and title officers to ensure accurate execution.
- Experience: 4+ years in the title industry; commercial title experience preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build relationships.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership skills.
- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
- The ability to lift up to 30lbs.
- Use of computers and technology.
