General Job Description
The Subcontracts Analyst role analyzes and oversees the negotiation and execution of Company subcontract agreements with external vendors and suppliers. The Subcontracts Analyst ensures subcontract agreements reflect mutually acceptable business and meet regulatory requirements, mitigate risks, and optimize costs. This role must be able to work in a high‑paced team environment and must be well organized and detail-oriented.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Apply and interpret established procurement policies, procedures, and processes, including those that are complex and may require in‑depth analysis and interpretation; ensure compliance with internal and external business standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze and review subcontracts using multiple factors and criteria; independently apply business expectations and market terms to find practical solutions.
- Review subcontract redlines from vendors or suppliers, negotiate standard requests and/or recommend higher‑level review by Purchasing leadership and Legal.
- Understand situational risk for each type of subcontract and make recommendations based on the understanding of the contract.
- Serve as a subcontracts knowledge leader and technical resource and interface between subcontractors and ACCO, collaborate with Purchasing personnel and Legal, interact with internal customers, managers, team members and external vendors.
- Work with internal ACCO stakeholders to streamline the subcontracts review process.
- Associate’s degree (bachelor's preferred) in Business Administration or related field.
- 5+ years of contract/subcontract administration experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Significant experience negotiating and administering subcontracts with terms and conditions commonly found in the construction industry.
- Experience developing and writing a variety of contract types, including fixed price and reimbursable contracts.
- Ability to learn and use efficiently various software tools, including Microsoft Suite, G Suite, Bluebeam, and others.
