Medical Director; Psychiatrist

Job Description

A non-profit treatment provider in New Haven County, CT is seeking a full-time, salaried Medical Director. This role involves overseeing all behavioral health services within the agency, which includes clinical, diagnostic, medical, substance abuse, mental health, and psychiatric care.

The Medical Director will ensure the highest standards of treatment quality, provide direct clinical services, and support the development of innovative programming to meet community needs.

• CT Licensed Psychiatrist with board certification in adult or child psychiatry
• Four years of post-fellowship experience in clinical and consultative work
• Experience in program development and collaboration with pediatric, family practice, or other medical and mental health disciplines is desirable
• Two to five years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults
• Prior experience in a child guidance clinic, community mental health center, or substance abuse center is preferred
• Experience working with ethnically diverse populations is also preferred
