Senior Civil Engineer | Pasadena, CA

IMEG is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Civil team in Pasadena, California
. In this role, you will lead design efforts for moderate to complex civil engineering projects, providing technical direction and oversight to a team of engineers. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions for civil infrastructure and site development projects using tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D. • Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering project features using Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software, ensuring compliance with codes and IMEG standards.
• Train and guide team members in civil engineering software for modeling traffic analysis, pipe networks, and related tasks.
• Oversee civil site design and provide advanced technical oversight to project teams.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements, communicate technical information, and build strong professional relationships.
• Conduct in-process design reviews and implement IMEG quality control processes to meet industry and client standards.
• Provide technical training, mentoring, and assistance in resolving field issues with limited senior staff support.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices; contribute to research and innovation within IMEG.
• Prioritize safety and regulatory compliance, interpreting state and local design criteria for project needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that achieve project goals.
• Participate in project interviews and presentations.

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, required
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required
• 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
• Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
• Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills for civil infrastructure.
• Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills
• Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
