Position: Chief Inspector for 145 Repair Station

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled aviation professional responsible for overseeing all inspection activities within a maintenance facility certified under FAA Part 145 regulations, ensuring all aircraft repairs and alterations meet stringent safety standards by supervising inspectors, managing quality control procedures, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and manufacturer specifications: acting as the primary quality control authority within the repair station.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday. The operational needs of the organization may necessitate working after hours, weekends or holidays.

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Ensure all repair activities adhere to FAA Part 145 regulations, manufacturer's maintenance manuals, and internal quality control procedures.

Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable Airworthiness Directives (ADs)

Supervise a team of inspectors, assigning tasks and ensuring proper execution of inspections throughout the repair process.

Perform complex inspections on aircraft components and systems, including pre- and post-repair checks.

Review and approve all inspection documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Develop, maintain, and update repair station quality control manuals, forms, and training materials.

Conduct regular quality audits to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.

Analyze data to monitor repair station performance and identify areas for improvement.

Possess in-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and non‑destructive testing methods.

Stay updated on new regulations, technical bulletins, and industry best practices

Generate detailed reports on inspection findings, non‑conformances, and corrective actions taken.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and inspections performed

Coordinate with FAA inspectors during audits and compliance reviews.

Address any FAA findings and corrective actions promptly

· Responsible to exercise final inspection authority and authorized to sign and all forms confirming compliance related to inspection, repair, and return to service

Maintain Aircraft logbooks and historical records. This includes relevant material including records of manufacturer’s overhaul manuals, service bulletins, FAA manuals, and other data as required

Manage tool calibration program for inhouse tooling and precision test equipment

Inspect aircraft for proper workmanship and airworthiness before, during and after work is performed by all technicians

Ensure inspection personnel is thoroughly familiar with applicable regulations, and inspection methods, procedures, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine airworthiness of articles after maintenance, preventive maintenance or alteration.

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience on Boeing 737-300/400

Formal training on 737-300/400

FAA issued current Airframe and Powerplant license

Inspection Authorization (IA) Desired

Advanced comprehension of FAR's specifically 14 CFR Part 145

Strong analytical skills, with ability to work under pressure and a high level of integrity

Must exhibit a high level of motivation, sense of urgency, attention to detail, energetic approach to job duties and requirements

Communication Proficiency, both written and oral.

Problem Solving/Analysis.

Project Management

Collaborative Skills/ Teamwork

Mechanical Skills- knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Systems Skills for computer hardware & software including applications
