Department Information – South Pasadena

The Radiation Therapist I reports directly to the Director of Radiation Oncology. This role involves performing treatments and simulations on a Varian 2100iX and Philips CT simulator, collaborating closely with the radiation oncology care team to ensure efficient care delivery following COH policies and procedures. As a successful candidate, you will:

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy to patients of all ages.
• Reinforce treatment and care instructions to patients, including managing side effects.
• Perform simulation procedures as prescribed and assist in dosimetry.
• Conduct daily quality assurance checks on linear accelerators, reporting any issues.

Your qualifications should include:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• 0-3 years of related experience, depending on training.
• Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy).
• Certified by the ARRT in Radiation Therapy (CRT).
• BLS or CPR certification.
• Hourly pay rate: $70.0448/hr.
