Data Analyst

Client is one of the largest independent banks headquartered in California serving consumers and businesses throughout the U.S. and Greater China. Client has over 130 locations worldwide including California, Texas, New York, Georgia, Massachusetts, Nevada, Washington, and Greater China.

• Extract and review monthly datasets for accuracy, validity and data integrity. Maintenance of report templates and production of performance reports.
• Generate ad-hoc reports and assist in detailed analysis for areas of focus in the performance of business units.
• Build and enhance processes to iteratively improve the quality and efficiency of department deliverables
• Conduct data analysis, data integration, and data management
• Identify and develop new data sources and structure data models for monthly performance analysis and annual budgeting and forecasting
• Plan and conduct small, short-term projects involving department subject matter experts and IT Department that focuses on improving processes and availability of data.

• Advanced User of Microsoft Excel
• Fluent in SQL, data manipulation, and trend analysis in an OLAP environment
• Ability to solve problems thoroughly, quickly and creatively with an eye for detail
• Hands-on experience in all aspects of data management activities involving large data sets(e.g., data gathering and profiling, data analysis, test data creation, data validation, and issue resolution)
• Ability and knowledge to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical associates, data users, managers, and other stakeholders
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a data management and analytics role. Experience in Finance or Accounting in the banking industry preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, engineering, math or computer-science related program
