The Epic Tapestry UM/Referrals candidate will design, build, and optimize UM and referral workflows (Internal/External) across multiple markets, including configuration of RTP, CER, LQL, ASA, EAP/EDP, system definitions, routing rules, work queues, templates, Service Auth (AUG/AUT), Unified Authorization logic, and DME/Post‑Acute workflows.
Additional responsibilities include Cadence‑Referral mapping, understanding scheduling status assignment tables, internal referral workflow behavior, and working with Tapestry UM build/workflows, import/export, Chronicles, vendor integration, 278/275, Right Fax, APIs, Bridges/Interconnect, and multi‑market mapping.
Key tasks involve documenting, testing, governance alignment, cross‑functional collaboration, and using SQL with SQL Developer.
Troubleshoot referral creation, service auth, routing, ASA logic/UM profile & triggers, coverage profiles, notifications, and MyChart/AFL visibility while supporting RWB/Clarity/Caboodle reporting needs.
Job Summary: In addition to the responsibilities listed below, the position is responsible for system build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of assigned applications. The role requires clinical or IT systems knowledge and experience to develop and support safe and high‑quality care using the electronic health record.
The position performs in‑depth investigation and documentation of future‑state operational specifications and application functionality, analyzes application capabilities, workflows, data collection, report details, and clinical/technical issues associated with Epic software, and develops internal procedures for Epic applications. Additional challenges include analyzing clinical and business operations, investigating user preferences, prioritizing and implementing requested system changes and updates, and liaising between end users, third parties, and Epic implementation staff.
It also provides supervisory support of the system administration team.

- Provides first‑ and second‑level support for enterprise systems and additional IT domains by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex incidents.
- Escalates unresolved or critical issues, risks, or problems to system engineers.
- Supports communication with product users and suppliers to share information, identify opportunities, and maintain continuous improvement through customer feedback.
- Plans and performs complex system configuration, participates in installs, upgrades, or decommissions of designated systems, and creates documentation of new and existing system configuration.
- Plans implementation of hardware and software changes into environments and performs impact analysis of system changes.
- Supports vendor support activities and participates in and influences change management processes.
- Defines maintenance, modification, and documentation of complex and advanced applications and supports the development of guidelines to prevent and/or resolve recurring problems.
- Recommends and executes performance tuning and optimization activities.
- Minimum three (3) years experience working with EPIC or comparable health system software OR minimum three (3) years scripting or programming experience.
- Minimum one (1) year in an informal leadership role working with IT or operational teams.
