Senior Business Systems Analyst; ERP

The City of Pasadena Department of Information Technology is seeking a skilled and collaborative Senior Business Systems Analyst (ERP). The Senion Business Systems Analyst serves as a functional liaison for enterprise applications. The incumbent is responsible for business process analysis, system configuration, and user support to ensure efficient and effective use of the City’s ERP system and other City enterprise applications.

• Serve as the primary liaison between IT, and other city departments for ERP related projects, system enhancements and troubleshooting.
• Serves as senior functional subject matter expert for the City’s ERP Financial applications and related business processes, providing ongoing functional support and guidance to Finance and other business stakeholders.
• Works closely with Finance Accounting, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other departments to identify business needs, evaluate system capabilities, and recommend effective technology solutions.
• Conduct, assess and define processes for system upgrades, new business processes and integrations with third party vendors.
• Creation of automation routines to enforce business rules and enhance workflow efficiency.
• Facilitates implementation of new system capabilities, workflow, and reporting improvements.
• Leads the interface between business needs and technical execution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business needs and requirements.
• Analyze existing business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create detailed documentation, including requirements specifications, process flows, and user guides.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
• Coordinates and conducts testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements and function properly.
• Provide training, documentation, and support for system users.
