Position Profile
The Acceptance Process Manager will lead our team responsible for conducting conflict checks, background checks, and data integrity searches for new clients and new engagements. The manager works with our new opportunity and client leads to gather and consider information on the projects and companies we are considering accepting or continuing, and to properly memorialize the information in our customer relationship management systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct and oversee the performance of conflict checks (including those intended to mitigate the risk of independence impairments).
- Conduct and oversee the performance of background checks using our third‑party application, including adhering to oversight policies and procedures for safeguarding confidentiality.
- Conduct and oversee the performance of data integrity searches (through our third‑party applications and through publicly available databases) intended to improve the quality of the data we maintain on the attributes of our clients.
- Familiarize with and adhere to the relevant ethical requirements of the AICPA, as outlined in the Code of Professional Conduct, as well as those of state accountancy boards and professional societies for which any licenses are held.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years in a similar position, likely in a compliance‑heavy role.
- Experience with data processing and searching.
- Management of a team of individuals, including in a virtual setting.
- Detail‑oriented nature.
- Interpersonal skills with a wide range of employees and partners at various experience levels.
- Education related to the accounting profession.
Estimated range: $150,000 to $175,000, subject to experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
