City Manager – City of Pasadena, California
The City of Pasadena is looking for a City Manager who is passionate about serving the people of Pasadena. The ideal candidate will have considerable executive leadership experience in the public or private sector and will oversee a dynamic, complex city with a full-service municipal government, public‑private partnerships, and a dedicated staff of approximately 2,200.
Base Pay Range$/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Oversee the city’s multifaceted public sector agency and public/private partnerships.
- Manage the full-service City, including the water and power utilities, public health department, and the City‑owned Rose Bowl Stadium, Convention Center and Visitors Bureau, and Pasadena Media.
- Direct the annual operating and capital budget of approximately $1.5 billion.
- Support an experienced and committed City Council and an engaged community of roughly 140,000 residents.
- Executive leadership experience in the public or private sector.
- Ability to think creatively about challenges and solve complex problems.
- Demonstrated passion for serving a diverse community and improving the standard of living.
- Strong leadership strengths and a drive to make a difference.
The salary range for this position is $380,000 – $425,000 DOE/DOQ. In addition to salary, the City of Pasadena offers a competitive benefits package.
