Responsible for assisting the Department Managers in supervising, planning, coordinating and evaluating patient care and employee performance. Ensures effective unit operation and supports staff with challenging issues, assists with care coordination and serves as first line on‑site support/resource for employees, physicians and patients. Meets all job requirements of the Registered Nurse. This position requires flexibility of hours.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program required.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, including at least 2 years in the specific area of expertise or equivalent service area. 5 years clinical experience with some demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
- Current unrestricted CA Registered Nurse (RN) License issued by the CA Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association.
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse‑Adult (PCCN) issued by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) or Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Certification (MSRN) issued by the Medical Surgical Nursing Certification Board (MSNCB) (preferred).
