Licensed Vocational Nurse – Outpatient Clinic

Schedule

Shift start window: 07:30–09:00. Facility closed on weekends and most holidays.

Assignment Details

No on-call responsibilities are required. Floating may be necessary; primarily based in one location.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of outpatient clinic LVN experience.
• Active California LVN license required at time of submission (no pending or temporary licenses).
• Blood draw/phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience with the Epic EMR system, including in-basket functionality, is preferred.
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), IV certification, blood withdrawal/phlebotomy.
• Key clinical skills: IV starts/maintenance, blood draws, medication administration (IM/SQ), vaccine administration, wound care, vital signs, and telephone triage.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and vaccines as necessary.
• Conduct phlebotomy and IV starts.
• Provide wound care and manage health assessments.
• Perform telephone triage and assist patients in a clinical setting.
• Maintain thorough patient documentation in compliance with facility protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.

Compliance / Notes

Active CA LVN license with IV certification must be in hand at submission, including a copy of the license/certification. Two references from within the past 12 months are required at submission (supervisor or higher). Background checks must be clear, and any issues must be resolved and accompanied by a written statement.
