Psych Pros is a nationally recognized staffing and recruiting firm dedicated to behavioral healthcare. We are in need of a Shelter Monitor to work with people experiencing homelessness. This is a TEMPORARY assignment with no set end date.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with adults in an adult or family congregate setting, or other homeless services oriented position
- Familiarity in understanding and dealing with residents/clients with history of substance use and/or mental health related issues
- Comfortable working in an environment where certain safety hazard conditions involving such things as clients in possession of controlled substances, weapons, drug paraphernalia, and physical/verbal threats may occur.
Pay- $18.57
Responsibilities- Supervise resident activities
- Monitor the site
- Interact with residents and staff in a positive and courteous manner
- Assertively ensure a safe environment for the residents
- May administer Naloxone once trained
- Utilize deescalation techniques
