Social Services Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Social Services Assistant to join our team at The Californian. As a Social Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our social services programs, ensuring the highest level of care and services for our clients.

Days needed are Tuesday and Thursday.

As a Social Services Assistant, you will:

• Assist Social Workers
  :
  Provide administrative support to our social workers, including documentation, data entry, and client communication.
• Conduct Intake Assessments
  :
  Conduct initial intake assessments with clients, gathering information and identifying service needs.
• Develop Service Plans
  :
  Collaborate with social workers to develop individualized service plans, outlining goals and objectives for each client.
• Maintain Accurate Records
  :
  Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client records, service plans, and progress reports.
• Maintain a Safe and Organized Environment
  :
  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients and staff.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in social work, human services, or related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience; prior experience in social services or healthcare setting a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
