CDL Dispatcher/Supervisor

Transdev in Pasadena, CA is hiring a CDL Dispatcher. The CDL Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service‑oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

• Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route start on time, incidents, etc.
• Communicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers.
• Conduct on‑scene accident investigations and assist drivers in preparing accident reports, OSHA reports, and safety violation documents.
• Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips, including no‑shows, cancellations and missed trips.
• Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, acting as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
• Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
• Other duties as required.

• CDL license preferred.
• Must obtain a valid CDL within 30 days of hire and maintain it, available to cover different routes periodically as needed.
• 1 year transit/paratransit driving experience preferred; previous transit/paratransit supervision experience a plus.
• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• 5‑7 years of dispatching experience.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

• Must be available to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Work environment generally involves long periods of sitting, typing, and/or looking at a computer screen.
• Environment will be a combination of indoors and outdoors.
• Strong ability to write clear and precise reports, including emails and explanations of service interruptions and daily events, meeting daily reporting and safety requirements.
