The Clinical Director provides clinical leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for all therapeutic services. This role ensures ethical, evidence-based care while fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and inclusion. The Clinical Director partners closely with Operations and Marketing leadership and plays a key role in practice growth, clinician development, and quality assurance.

- Provide leadership and oversight to all clinical staff, including therapists, clinical supervisors, and interns
- Conduct monthly coaching sessions with clinicians, reviewing Practice Vital metrics, professional development goals, and chart audit feedback
- Foster a culture of authentic connection, psychological safety, and professional accountability
- Meet quarterly with Clinical Supervisors and support their development and effectiveness
- Oversee chart audits, QA reports, and clinical quality indicators
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Maryland licensing regulations, payer standards, and ethical guidelines
- Review client satisfaction data and implement improvements to enhance quality of care
- Support consultation groups, specialty programming, and clinician collaboration
- Identify hiring needs based on caseload demand, supervision capacity, and budget
- Actively recruit, interview, and recommend clinicians aligned with practice values
- Oversee a structured 90-day onboarding process
, including weekly training and clear performance expectations - Ensure all required documentation and training are completed prior to client assignment
- Contribute to and implement strategies for sustainable practice growth
- Involve clinicians in decision-making related to programs, services, and clinical initiatives
- Support development of groups, workshops, CEU trainings, and community talks
- Network in the community at least twice per month to build referral relationships and strengthen brand presence
- Attend all leadership and management meetings
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Operations to streamline workflows and ensure policy adherence
- Partner with the Marketing Coordinator on messaging related to services, new hires, and programs
- Provide clinical input for website content and Google Ads as needed
- Ensure clinician productivity averages 95% or greater practice-wide
- Address clinical performance concerns within two weeks of identification
- Write and revise clinical SOPs as needed, completing an annual review of procedures
- Address and manage employee issues in alignment with HR policies
- Maintain 20 billable client sessions per week (approximately 48 weeks per year)
- Model ethical, inclusive, and evidence-based clinical care
- Active independent Maryland license (
LCSW-C or LCPC required
) - Minimum 5 years of independent clinical experience
- At least 2 years of experience supervising or managing clinical staff
- Experience with clinician recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Comfort using data (Practice Vital metrics, audits, surveys) to guide accountability and improvement
- Salary Range: $82,000–$90,000 (based on experience and scope)
- Time Commitment: 36–40 hours per week
