Overview
Accounts Payable Specialist Ready to Put Your Skills to Work Where It Counts? Automation Personnel Services is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Scheduleand Compensation
Pay Rate $20.00-$23.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule and Hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Duties and Responsibilities- Process and code vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
- Review invoices for accuracy, proper approval, and compliance with company policies
- Prepare and process weekly or monthly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues professionally
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting related to accounts payables
- Support audits by providing required documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice or payment issues
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred - 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Quick Books, Oracle)
- Experience in a high-volume invoice processing environment
