Staff Accountant

Location: Pasadena, CA

Job Type: Temporary to Hire

Pay: $31.25-$36.05 per hour

LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant for a temporary-to-hire opportunity with a client in Pasadena, CA. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role and wants exposure to a variety of accounting functions, including month-end close, general ledger activity, financial reporting, and analysis.

• Support the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Review general ledger activity and research account discrepancies
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting
• Monitor cash activity and support routine banking and deposit functions
• Maintain accounting information related to fixed assets and inventory
• Assist with sales incentives, bonus calculations, and related account activity
• Prepare and review budget-to-actual reporting and investigate significant variances
• Provide accounting support for forecasting and project-related financial analysis
• Work with accounting leadership and other departments to resolve financial questions and maintain accurate records
• Participate in special projects and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies

• 2+ of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
• Experience with journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end close
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Experience assisting with financial statement preparation
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas
• Experience working within an ERP or accounting system
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable communicating and collaborating with individuals across different departments

Pay Details: $31.25 to $36.05 per hour
