The Excavator operator will assist with all drainage/retaining wall activities and all excavations throughout our project.

• Equipment operation under the direction of the supervisor
• Bench and secure all excavations during the operation
• Read cut stakes and grade elevations
• Recognize hazardous conditions and report to the supervisor
• Dig around and assist in exposing live utilities
• Work day, night, and weekends as required
• While operating equipment, communicate with others using verbal and non‑verbal hand signals
• Perform other labor‑related duties as assigned by the supervisor

• 3 plus years of excavation experience on heavy highway road construction projects
• Drainage experience preferred (installation of box, pipe, structures, waterline, sanitary sewer, and/or trench box)
• Ability to bench and secure all excavations during operation
• Reliable transportation
• Physical ability to perform assigned labor‑related tasks (climbing ladders, climbing in and out of ditches)
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• General labor skills
• Basic knowledge of operating hand and power tools (hammers, sledgehammers, pry bars, screwdrivers, etc.)
