Position Summary
The General Foreman directly supports the Chief Operating Officer through the hand‑on active guidance of multiple onsite project Foreman. These responsibilities include teaching and enforcing company process and standard, project planning, schedule creation and oversight, manpower planning and oversight, equipment planning, customer interactions, and more. This role requires an intimate knowledge of project execution, a clear understanding of executing earthwork, underground utilities, and concrete construction work;
a personality that enjoys details; an analytical outlook to material, equipment, cost tracking, and subcontractors; and a big‑picture view necessary to create and implement process.
RL specializes in delivering high‑quality, cost‑effective earthwork and wet utility solutions for ground‑up construction projects across commercial, industrial, retail, multi‑family, hospitality, community, and educational sectors. Our services include:

Objectives- Ensure all job startup and planning functions are fully executed with a focus on anticipating and solving problems.
- Create, monitor, status, and update project construction schedules with utmost attention to detail and accuracy.
- Assist, support, and train onsite project Foreman in planning, problem solving, “looking around the corner”, and communicating.
- Monitor project cost reports and suggest corrective action to avoid cost overruns.
- Create, monitor, revise, and train on department‑wide best practice process.
- Maintain proactive communication and fantastic relationships with internal and external stakeholders to represent RL Siteworx.
- Monitor and inspect all projects to ensure the highest possible quality is produced by onsite Foreman.
- Proven success in leading and guiding onsite project Foreman to achieve excellent project results related to cost, quality, and time.
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing, high‑intensity, fast‑paced, complex work environment.
- Internally driven to achieve objectives without constant direction.
- Capable of successfully executing activities and details of multiple projects, people, and objectives at all times.
- Valid/active driver’s license and a functioning vehicle.
- 10 years of work experience as a utility or dirt‑work foreman or similar role.
- Extensive travel around the greater Houston area, up to 80 %.
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and lifting.
