POSITION SUMMARY

The Foreman is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of construction projects, including excavation, safety, labor, and equipment management. This role ensures that the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets RL Siteworx’s standards for safety and quality. The Foreman will manage daily activities on the jobsite, problem‑solve challenges as they arise, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

PERSONALITY ASSESSMENT

These assessments do not measure intelligence, education, or experience. It simply measures communication needs and problem solving abilities. OBJECTIVES
  • Mastered all Pipelayer or Operator objectives
  • Mastered all Lead Man objectives
  • Manage all excavations including depth C (0-20’ deep) safely
  • Manage all excavations: benching, sloping, or using double stacked boxes and plates safely
  • Schedule and plan accurately for all jobsite activities not less than 2 weeks ahead of current date
  • Problem solve majority of project challenges with minimal assistance
  • Manage labor hours and equipment usage efficiently and effectively
  • Calculate slopes/grades
  • Represent RL professionally at all times
  • Manage onsite inspection processes
  • Hold all RL field operations personnel accountable to RL SOPs
  • Enter time daily into appropriate software
  • Create and submit daily reports timely and accurately
  • Conduct, document, and submit toolbox talks weekly
  • Facilitate communication with all project stakeholders
  • Assist Project Management in obtaining 10% change orders per project
  • Create accurate and timely JSAs
COMPETENCIES
  • Mastered all Pipelayer or Operator competencies
  • Mastered all Lead Man competencies
  • Complete understanding of iPad & associated software operation (Plangrid, Smartsheets, TENNA, etc.)
  • Complete understanding of the project schedule and required production targets
  • Understand the intricacies of working in confined spaces safely
  • Understanding jobsite logistics and communication with other trades
  • Able to identify Job Site Hazards and fill out a JSA
  • Ability to coordinate with third party utility companies to avoid time, cost, and safety impacts
  • Complete understanding of all inspection procedures and how to avoid common pitfalls
  • Ability to nurture fantastic relationships with various stakeholders
  • Embrace a production mindset
  • Able to display intermediate understanding of plan reading for utilities and earthwork
  • Ability to “look ahead” and identify current and future production conflicts and roadblocks
  • Ability to efficient and effective manage field operations personnel
  • Required safety courses: OSHA 30
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • No formal education required.
  • Prior experience in construction required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) frequently.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Willingness to work in a dusty, noisy, and potentially hazardous environment.
