Primary

Purpose:

Test and prepare documentation for student identification and placement, maintain program documentation, and enter PEIMS information accurately for program funding.

• Education/Certification: High School Diploma/GED
• Special Knowledge/
  
  Skills:
  
  Fluent in English and Spanish; must meet district Spanish proficiency exam; able to work effectively with many people; ability to organize and work with detailed data; ability to work with small children.
• Experience: Data Entry experience preferred.

• Administer and score the English and Spanish Language Dominance Tests.
• Prepare and organize TEA documentation and other pertinent information for the LPAC Committee to identify and place students.
• Prepare and organize TEA documentation for TAAS testing of LEP students.
• Prepare and organize TEA documentation for the LPAC to reclassify LEP students at year‑end.
• Enter all LEP data into the computer for program and funding purposes.
• Order and maintain an adequate supply of testing materials and documentation forms.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
• Assist with the bilingual instructional program by reinforcing the teacher’s direct instruction in small group settings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.

Mental Demands: Reading; effective verbal communication; maintain emotional control under stress.

Physical Demand/Environmental Factors: Moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting. Able to lift up to 35 pounds.
