The Electrical Engineer will provide technical expertise for plant electrical systems, including motors, switch gear, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, and power distribution networks. The role focuses on reliability improvements and supports preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr. The range is provided by Southern Recruiting Solutions, Inc. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
Responsibilities- The Electrical Engineer will provide technical expertise for plant electrical systems, including motors, switch gear, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, and power distribution networks.
- Drive equipment reliability improvements by analyzing performance data, identifying chronic issues, and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Lead and participate in root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and develop corrective/preventive action plans.
- Support development and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) programs, including infrared inspections, motor testing, and power quality analysis.
- Support training of maintenance staff on electrical systems and reliability best practices.
- Monitor reliability KPIs and report progress on equipment performance and downtime reduction initiatives.
- Relocation provided.
- The Electrical Reliability Engineer will have a BSEE and 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering within a chemical, refining, or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, rotating equipment, protective relays, and industrial automation systems.
- Experience with reliability engineering tools such as RCFA, FMEA, and RCM.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies (IR thermography, partial discharge, vibration, motor current analysis, etc.).
- Working knowledge of electrical safety regulations (NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA standards).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
