Field Coordinator – Waste Services
Location: Multiple Sites (Field-Based)
Department: Waste Services
Reports To: Waste Services Manager / Site Leadership
Position Summary
The Field Coordinator plays a key role in supporting waste services operations by acting as an on-site Waste Technician and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company environmental and safety standards. This role supports field execution, subcontractor activity, and customer-site coordination while ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams. The Field Coordinator contributes directly to safe work practices, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Waste Technician during customer-site activities to ensure compliant handling, packaging, and movement of waste streams
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractor activities, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, safety standards, and quality expectations
- Apply RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations to classify, manage, and ship hazardous and non-hazardous waste
- Prepare, review, and verify waste manifests, profiles, and shipping documents for regulatory compliance and accuracy
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure safe practices and environmental compliance
- Consolidate non-hazardous and Class 2 waste and coordinate roll-off services
- Collect samples and support waste profiling for TSDF facilities
- Maintain profile expiration tracking and ensure timely renewals
- Support customer service by communicating project status, documentation requirements, and field needs
- Uphold company safety standards, environmental compliance requirements, and operating procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support waste operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior industrial, environmental services, or waste experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office; intermediate Excel skills
- Working knowledge of RCRA, DOT, EPA standards or ability to learn
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and teamwork
