Condition Monitoring Specialist (Vibration) Job Description

The role is based on‑site at a customer facility. The specialist will directly coordinate, schedule, and participate in work with the customer to comply with the partnership agreement. The specialist will develop, operate, and manage Condition Monitoring programs for John Crane clients, collect routine data, conduct first‑line analysis and reporting, partner with engineering teams to capture advanced data, and participate in troubleshooting.

• Operate and develop Condition Monitoring programs for John Crane clients.
• Conduct routine Condition Monitoring surveys at client premises.
• Perform analysis of routine vibration data.
• Report vibration and oil analysis results with corrective maintenance recommendations.
• Interface with the client for on‑site delivery of Condition Monitoring services.
• Conduct periodic on‑site pump performance testing and reporting.
• Calculate cost‑benefit of recommendations using a defined process.
• Work within the Integrated Management System requirements.

• Mechanical Engineering degree preferred and/or equivalent experience with rotating equipment.
• Minimum Certified Category III Vibration Analyst through a recognized institution.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred in vibration analysis for condition monitoring of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors).
• Working knowledge of computers, MS Office, and specialist vibration monitoring software.
• Vibration Analysis ISO 18436‑2 Category 2, or equivalent preferred.
• Lubrication Analysis ISO 18436‑4 Category 2, or equivalent preferred.
• Preferred skills such as thermography, rotor dynamics analysis, laser alignment, and electrical tests.
