Aboutthe Position
Location:
Pasadena, TX (or surrounding area).
Work schedule:
4/10s plus overtime. No per diem.
As an I&E Planner you will be responsible for:
- Walking down job scope requests and estimating labor hours.
- Developing work plans and creating job plan packages.
- Preparing and completing estimates, including material, outside services and sub‑contractors.
- Reviewing specifications, drawings and other documents to determine scope of work.
- Maintaining files of working documents and backup estimate figures.
- Estimating extras, change orders and discovery work items.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum four (4) to five (5) years of field experience and/or education in Instrumentation / Electrical.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to plan job tasks and durations into a work schedule.
- May require Turner qualifications for proprietary software.
- Successful completion of a post‑offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
- Compliance with company and client job‑site safety requirements.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
- Experience with SAP and Excel (required).
Reviewing specifications, drawings, and related documents to determine scope of work; preparing estimates by completing a full takeoff of scope of work, material, outside services and sub‑contractors; incorporating historical data into resource and man‑hour estimates; estimating extras, change orders, and discovery work items; maintaining files of working documents and backup estimate figures.
CompensationFinal agreed‑upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
