DESCRIPTION:

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Center for Quantum Computing in Pasadena, CA, is looking to hire an Electro-Mechanical AIT Specialist (Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Integration, & Testing Specialist). Candidates must have experience in assembling and testing complex electrical and mechanical systems. The candidate will work with cryogenic systems, microwave electronics, and support hardware. Responsibilities include mechanical assembly, maintenance, and servicing cryogenic test setups;

maintaining and organizing R&D lab infrastructure and facilities; composing technical documents, and technical troubleshooting. Candidates must have a strong background in engineering principles, and must have basic data analysis, problem solving, and communication skills. Working effectively within a team environment is critical.

Key job responsibilities
This role will be responsible for the operations of the cryogenic systems, which includes reconfiguration, documentation, and quantum processor integration. In addition to DR operations, the scope of the role also includes assembly, integration, and testing of novel cryogenic RF/Microwave hardware.

A day in the life
You will work within the Cryogenic Hardware team and alongside the Test and Measurement team to reconfigure, assemble, test, and operate cryogenic systems weekly. You will coordinate with stakeholders on reconfiguration requirements, documentation, scheduling, and integration of new devices. In addition to cryogenic systems operations, you will work along side Cryogenic Hardware engineers with assembly, integration, and testing novel hardware projects.
