Job Description

** Full-time preferred, part-time will be considered**

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join Texas Home Medical. This position will be responsible for providing clinical patient DME set-ups and support within the San Antonio location.

Responsibilities
  • Completes patient set-ups for CPAPs, BIPAPs and advanced therapy devices
  • Maintains continuing education as necessary for performance of job responsibilities
  • Educates patient on respiratory equipment including maintenance and safety
  • Keeps detailed notes of all services performed
  • Links patients to compliance programs such as Air View
  • Supports training of other employees at the direction of the management team
  • Tracks compliance on all patients set up on PAP therapy
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by state licensure law or by the management team
Education and Experience
  • Completion of a respiratory care degree or related science is preferred
  • Respiratory therapist certification – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • Experience launching NIV or percussion vest programs is desirable
  • Maintains CEUs as required by state law
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Maintains confidentiality and practices discretion when handling sensitive information (HIPAA)
  • Multi‑tasks with attention to detail
  • Works independently and as part of a team
  • Communicates effectively in writing and verbally
  • Overcomes patient/customer objections to CPAP/BILEVEL
  • Flexible approach
  • Strong self‑motivation and time‑management skills
