Essential Functions
  • Provide direct clinical services in accordance with accepted standards of social/work clinical practice.
  • Plan and conduct group therapy as assigned by the Director of Intensive Outpatient Program or physician's order.
  • Conduct assessments and interpret completion of Comprehensive Integrated Assessment.
  • Review all Multidisciplinary assessments and compile a Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan under supervision of the attending physician.
  • Perform case management and discharge planning as assigned by the Director of Intensive Outpatient Program.
  • Attend multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, provide updates on assigned patients and progress toward treatment goals, and combine reports of all disciplines into a multidisciplinary treatment integration summary to facilitate patient progress toward treatment plan goals.
  • Deliver patient services in an ethical manner that promotes respect for the patient and enhances the patient's dignity and satisfaction; demonstrate the ability to assess and interpret patient response to treatment in an age, disability and culturally sensitive manner.
  • Assess and interpret age, disability and cultural needs; identify safety, psychosocial, special mobility and special equipment needs; and communicate in an age, disability or cultural sensitive manner to patients and their families.
  • Conduct treatment and discharge planning in accordance with age, disability and cultural needs, involving members of the patient's support system in decision making as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements – Educational / Experience
  • Minimum qualification:

    Clinical Social Worker (CSW), LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPC‑A (TX Only) or Psychologist.
  • 0 to 1 year post‑graduate experience in clinical practice.
Qualifications / Skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age‑related disability‑related needs of patients served on assignment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles appropriate to the patient population served.
  • Be able to assess and interpret patient data to identify needs and provide appropriate care, including age‑related and culturally sensitive care for adolescent, chronically mentally ill, adult, geriatric, chemically dependent, and dually diagnosed populations.
  • Possess in‑depth knowledge of mental illness, chemical dependency and the family dynamics that accompany them.
  • Have basic knowledge of chronic mental illness and in‑depth knowledge of clinical therapy modalities.
  • Have excellent communication and group/process skills related to age‑specific patient needs.
  • Be able to demonstrate assessment, intervention, treatment and discharge planning skills.
  • Be able to pass the general age/disability post‑test.
  • Be versatile, flexible and able to perform under stressful situations; possess good time and organizational skills; be capable of coordinating a multi‑faced workload.
  • Be able to work with an array of mental and physical disabled persons.
  • Successfully complete CPR certification and an Oceans‑approved behavioral de‑escalation program.
Working Environment

Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. The position can be high‑paced and stressful; the candidate must be able to cope mentally and physically to the atmosphere.
