Description
GCEFCU is looking for a VP Lending for our team.
This position will oversee the sales and membership department, ensuring high-quality service to both internal and external members. The role is responsible for maximizing profitability in sales and lending activities, while always acting in the best interest of the members.
As a member of the Management Team, this position contributes to the overall management and strategic direction of the organization.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:- Responsible for all Sales, Lending, Real Estate, Underwriting, and Processing functions. Responsible for overseeing the hiring, mentoring, performance evaluations, scheduling and training of all employees under supervision.
- Responsible for corporate scorecard and helping the organization achieve goals.
- Develop and maintain an incentive program for the sales staff that measures sales performance. Monitor and evaluate all sales activity to ensure that the highest level of member satisfaction is being met.
- Responsible for promotions and product creation by monitoring industry trends to identify and institute new lending programs or products and evaluate the success of those products. Coordinating effective communication and member awareness with the Marketing and Business Development departments.
- Responsible for all aspects of lending products and the processes and applications used to open these products.
- Create or assist in the creation of policies and procedures for department. Ensure that policies and procedures reflect external rules and regulations and are communicated to and implemented by all staff.
- Respond to complex or problematic member questions or problems as appropriate and ensure the highest quality of member satisfaction.
- Review samples of lending approvals, denials defaults and charge offs for soundness of decisions.
- Develop, analyze, and complete monthly product reports. Develop procedures and reporting tools for effective information to flow through the department.
- Responsible for compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and all governmental regulations and Credit Union policies and guidelines. Responsible for complying with Federal Rules and Regulations as required by NCUA.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
- Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
- (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
