Indirect Reports: approximately 48 roles

Location: Pasadena, TX (on site)

Summary

The Director of Operations manages daily activities to ensure smooth operations, develops strategies, oversees processes, and manages budgets and resources. Responsibilities include production and facilities management (HSE/Maintenance/Quality/Distribution/IT), demand planning, supply planning, procurement, import/export logistics, inventory management, packaging procurement, product label development, and third‑party manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage demand planning, supply planning, and detailed production planning to drive effective and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Collaborate with ADAMA Global Supply Chain, sales units, and finance to construct and achieve an inventory plan consistent with business needs.
  • Manage company capital expenditures strategy and ensure timely execution.
  • Oversee the IT function to develop and implement a strategic technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Handle third‑party purchasing activities for active ingredients, labels, and packaging, including vendor selection, pricing negotiations, and contract maintenance.
  • Lead packaging design, engineering, and certification to meet EPA and DOT compliance standards.
  • Coordinate and execute local manufacturing, including capacity planning, production orders, bill of material creation, EPA compliance, and end‑of‑campaign reconciliation.
  • Direct manufacturing support functions such as production manual creation, QA, and quality management activities.
  • Maintain relationships with third‑party manufacturers, develop new relationships, and manage formulation contracts.
  • Maintain accurate inventories across all locations, including finished goods reconciliation and physical inventories.
  • Manage import/export processes to ensure compliant, timely, and accurate inventory movements.
  • Facilitate new product commercialization and product change management related to product stewardship and development.
  • Build relationships with formulation, production, and product development counterparts within the parent company.
  • Resolve quality issues with US Quality Manager and global technical staff on domestic formulation development and finished goods quality.
  • Maintain item master data in Dynamics GP system.
  • Plan and direct budget activities, including annual supply planning and third‑party pricing establishment.
  • Drive continuous improvement and strategic objective achievement through metrics and goal design.
  • Exhibit competencies in managing and leading subordinates.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and confidence.
  • Lead by motivating, inspiring, and displaying passion and optimism for the business.
  • Develop skills of subordinates to support a changing organization.
Qualifications

Education/

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is required; advanced degree preferred with ten or more years in supply chain management and proven effective management track record.

Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
