We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Seal Technician with a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and repair assessment of mechanical seals. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in using machining equipment, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prints.
Responsibilities- Disassemble, clean, and inspect mechanical seals to determine condition and repair requirements
- Document inspection findings with clear notes and photographs
- Prepare detailed repair reports and cost estimates/quotes for customers
- Operate and maintain a variety of shop machinery including lathe, surface grinders, and hot plate
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work area to ensure a safe and efficient workspace
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with mechanical seals in a mechanical repair/pump shop environment
- Proficient in using machine tools and inspection equipment
- Formal technical training or certification in mechanical repair or machining preferred
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and seal components
- Ability to take detailed inspection notes and photographs for reporting
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and prints
- Self‑motivated with strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical Demand:
