Manual/CNC Machinist – Emerson

A Manual/CNC Machinist role within the Emerson team in Pasadena, TX, involves fabricating Fisher OEM control valve parts using a variety of machining techniques and equipment and repairing parts from the field to meet OEM specifications.

• Maintain personal safety and ensure safety for others while keeping excellent housekeeping standards.
• Set up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensions.
• Cross‑train on all machines to prevent lapses in production flow, including but not limited to engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC mills.
• Understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements, and machining techniques.
• Interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawings.
• Field assignments may be required, including in‑line machine work and occasional travel.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations.

• Mechanical‑related associate’s degree or 7+ years of machining and fabricating experience.
• Minimum 5 years of full‑cycle machining experience, including programming, setup, and operation of machines.
• Working knowledge of CAD/CAM (Master Cam) and Solid Works modeling.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer‑relations skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Welding knowledge.
• Experience in the process control industry.
• Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process‑related problems.
