Production Engineer Job Pasadena area,Texas USA,Manufacturing / Production

Overview:
Identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures that will increase capacity, reduce costs, and improve safety and quality in global supply chain manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot existing processes to enhance stream time and operational efficiency. Collaborate within a team environment with operations and other Unit Operating Teams. Identify opportunities to improve mechanical and instrumentation reliability. Utilize process improvement methodologies to advance Operational Excellence initiatives to increase profits.

Responsibilities:

Track operating performance and product quality of production units. Identify deviations from standards and initiate corrective actions.

Troubleshoot existing processes and implement corrective actions to improve stream time and efficiency.

Identify and implement process and procedure improvements to increase capacity, reduce costs, and enhance safety and quality in chemical manufacturing.

Provide technical support for plant trials and startups.

Write operating procedures and train chemical operators.

Propose programming logic changes to improve process safety, quality, or efficiency.

Develop expertise on process equipment such as reactors, agitators, heat exchangers, pumps, and filters.

Write and secure approval for Manufacturing Change Requests (MCRs) and Process Change Forms (PCFs) for process improvements.

Lead or participate in PPA, JSA, and PHA teams.

Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and perform mass and energy balances for process modifications.

Develop project scopes for small capital projects.

Specify new process equipment and collaborate with vendors and operations for selection.

Perform data and statistical analysis to inform processing decisions.

Provide relief coverage for supervision in production units.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

BS degree in Chemical Engineering.
