Travel RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab RN with prior cath lab experience for a 13-week assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license.

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Radiology Technologist or RCIS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent cath lab experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for FL and MO)
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 3 beds and 8 full-time staff (6 RNs, 2 techs)
• Day shift staffing varies by caseload, requiring 3-4 staff per room with at least one tech per room
• Night shift call coverage consists of 2 RNs and 1 tech
• Patient ratio of 3-4 staff per patient
• Uses x-ray, Impella, Penumbra, IABP, various stents, sheaths, wires, guides, and atherectomy equipment
• EMR systems used include Hemomerge and Meditech Expanse
• Standard work hours are 6:30 AM-3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call begins after daily cases conclude
• 24-hour on-call shifts required Friday through Sunday
• No floating required
• Perform heart caths, CTO, and high-risk PCI procedures
• Conduct ablations for afib, aflutter, SVT, and PVC
• Assist with device implants including PPM, ICD, and Watchman
• Perform peripheral angiography with and without intervention
• Support ECMO cannulation and thrombectomy procedures
• Caribbean-colored scrubs required
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Easygoing personality is considered a strong fit for the team
