Overview

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

Salary: $10.00 to $14.00 per hour. Earn commission on transactions; potential to earn up to 8% on transactions (average additional pay above hourly rate).

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and resolves customer inquiries and problems. The role involves working with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, and other merchandise, and may include firearms in FFL locations.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Final pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs open/close procedures (non-management).
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandise displayed.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using communication tools.
• Collaborates with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, bending, lifting, etc.) as required by law.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or in exterior storage areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and standard office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit, with details provided during the interview process.
