Overview
Severe Service Specialists (Triple S) is a manufacturer’s representative and factory authorized automation facility for valves that are engineered to withstand severe applications. We pride ourselves on knowing our customers’ processes and being able to provide flow control solutions. Triple S is also an authorized automation facility for Mogas, Clarke, L&T and other valve lines we represent. Severe Service Specialists is a subsidiary of Flo Works International LLC, which is a privately held company located in Pasadena, Texas.
OutsideSales Representative – Responsibilities
- Promote and sell Triple S products to meet sales targets and generate revenue. Respond to customer needs and requirements with the appropriate Triple S products. Maintain a high level of customer service with existing customers and leverage relationships to expand business.
- Develop relationships with new clients by prospecting and responding to business development leads. Monitor and review customer sales activity and adjust processes and strategies as needed.
- Develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales utilizing knowledge of core customers and Triple S product line. Grow sales profitably as a sales consultant for current core industries and emerging industries and markets.
- Prospect for new accounts, retain existing accounts, and increase opportunities with existing customers.
- Conduct on-site customer visits, manage sales volume with an existing group of customers, and prospect to expand the customer base.
- Forecast, prospect, and bid for new business including customers, markets, and additional service opportunities.
- Maintain and build customer partnerships; develop and sustain sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers at all levels of organizations including end-users, Sunbelt and other resellers.
- Share market and competitor information within applicable channels and establish working relationships.
- Partner with customers, vendors, Credit, and A/R to quickly resolve customer service issues.
- Identify customer product needs and coordinate execution of orders. May conduct negotiations with suppliers, vendors and manufacturers.
- Assist in training or mentoring of associates.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Industrial sales (Valve and Valve Automation preferred) OR experience in an engineering/maintenance role within an industrial plant with understanding of valve automation.
- Experience with making sales calls to end users and resellers in the power, process, pharmaceutical or semiconductor industry.
- Knowledge of customer business needs.
- Knowledge of Triple S type product line and core customers.

- Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements including, but not limited to, using a 10-key or calculator, bending or squatting.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
